![]() This is so rediculous, I have a hard enough time convincing management to upgrade to VSS2005, only to discover the hoops you have to jump through to get it later. ![]() If we do not upgrade to VSS2005, can we still upgrade to VS2005 Profressional and continue to use our current licensing? That is, we can still use VSS 6.0d with VSSConnect because we bought licensing for this when we bought VS2003 Enterprise Architect, correct? Therefore, if we do not install VSS Client, do we still need VSS Client licenses?ģ. VSSConnect connects directly to VSS server by itself. If we use VSSConnect do we actually need a license for each developer? Developers do not have, nor need, VSS client installed. Do our current VSS 6.0d licenses work for VSS2005?Ģ. Our licensing should be currently sufficient because each of our VS2003 EA applications came with VSS (and license), correct?Ĭontinue to use VSSConnect to access VSS2005ġ. We have VSS 6.0d installed on a server and we all access VSS using VSSConnect (similar to SourceOffsite). We have 6 developers all with VS2003 Enterprise Architect. I think I have a pretty good idea of the licensing structure now, but I have a few specific questions.
